Punjab Board PSEB 12th
Result 2019: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) commonly known as
Punjab Board has released the class 12 result 2019 on May 11 (Saturday), 2019
at a press conference in Mohali. Students can check the result at the official
website pseb.ac.in and the Punjab Board’s partner website, indiaresult.com.
A total of 86.41 per cent students passed this year. The girls have scored
90.86 per cent and boys are at 82.83 per cent.
The exams were conducted
from March 1 to March 27, 2019. Last year the result was declared on April 29.
This year will be declared on May 11, 2019 at 11:30 am. Over 3 lakh students
are awaiting the PSEB class 12th result 2019.
In 2018, the overall pass
percentage for Punjab Board class 12 exam was 65.97 per cent. Last year, girls
performed better than boys as 60.46 per cent boys cleared the exam while 78.25
per cent girls passed the same. This year too as a similar trend is expected to
be seen.
In 2018, PSEB 12th result
Pooja Joshi topped the exam with 98 per cent marks. In recently announced PSEB
10th result, Neha Verma from Ludhiana bagged the first rank with
99.54 per cent (647/650) marks. She is daughter of a truck driver who could not
afford to pay her extra classes fee worth Rs 350 per month which makes her feat
sweater.
The pass percentage is
also expected to rise for PSEB 12th result 2019. The pass percentage had
increased drastically in the PSEB class 10 result 2019 which were
announced earlier this week. As much as 85.56 per cent students cleared the
class 10 exam which was higher by 28.06 per cent than last year’s pass
percentage which was 57.50 per cent. A total of 2,71,554 cleared the PSEB class
10 examination successfully in 2019.

In the academic category, the first rank was jointly shared
by three students. Sarvjot Singh Khalsa from Ludhiana, Aman from Muktsar, and
Muskaan Kaur from Nakodar in Jalandhar. All three students scored 445 out of
450 and secured 98.99% marks
Pass percentage in
non medical and medical category
The pass percentage in the non medical category is 83.98 per
cent, while 82.25 per cent in the medical category.
Tarn Taran performs
poor with 70.96%
Tarn Taran has the lowest pass percentage with 70.96 per
cent
227 girls made it to
merit list
As many as 227 girls made it to the merit list while 92 boys
found the place in the merit list
10,769 students
become unsuccessful in PSEB 12th exam
A total of 10,769 students could not clear the Class 12
examinations. This year, 25,799 students have got compartments.
Muktsar Sahib tops
among districts with 93.28%
District Muktsar Sahib has the highest pass percentage with
93.28 percent. Tarn Taran has the lowest with 70.96 percent.
Commerce stream
performs better than Science, Arts
The Commerce stream has secured the highest pass percentage
of 90.37, while 86.40 per cent passed in Humanities and 83.44 per cent in
Science.
2,32,639 clear PSEB
12th exam, pass percentage touches 86.41%
A total of 2,32,639 students cleared the PSEB Class 12
examinations successfully marking a pass percentage of 86.41 per cent.
This year, 2,69,228 students appeared in the examination.
