Indian Army Recruitment 2017 – 49th & 20th SSC (Tech) Men & Women Course: Indian Army has published notification for the recruitment of 49th Short Service Commission (Tech) Men and 20th Short Service Commission (Tech) Women Course (Oct 2017) (Including Widows of Defence Personnel for Non Tech (Non-UPSC) Entry) at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 20 – 27 years (i.e candidates should be born between 02-10-1990 and 01-10-1997 (Both Dates Inclusive)) for SSC (Tech) Men and Women & 19 – 29 years (i.e candidates should be born between 02-07-1988 and 01-07-1998 (Both Dates Inclusive)) for Widows of Defence Personnel as on 01-10-2017.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering course.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on cut off % as fixed by integrated HQ of MoD (Army) for each engineering stream, medical examination, merit & interview.

Off Line (Directly to the Widows of Defence Personnel who had died in harness, including those with children who have not remarried): Eligible candidates may send their application with Part II Order of Marriage certificate, Part –II Order of demise of husband along with Death Certificate, Initial report of Battle casualty/ Physical casualty, Detailed report of Battle casualty/ Physical casualty, Battle/ Physical casualty certificate, Self declaration Certificate of not having remarried in an envelope should be super scribed with”name of officer with rank”  in Red Link directly to the  Rtg-A(WE) section, Integrated HQ of Ministry of Defence (Army), AG’s Branch, DG Recruiting/ West Block-III, R K Puram, New Delhi- 110 066 on or before 23-02-2017 & Other details refer the notification.
