Age Limit: Candidates age should be 15 to 20 years for Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Uphoster, 15 to 22 years for Fitter, Electrician, R&AC, Wireman, 15 to 24 years for MLT, Winder, Cable Jointer, Turner, Macxhinist, Mechanic, MMV s on 01-10-2016. Age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess 10th class for Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic, 8th class for Carpenter, Painter, Upholster, Welder, 12th class under 10+2 system of education or equivalent for MLT  in relevant subject for freshers & ITI in relevant trade for Ex.ITI Category.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on merit.

Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.100/- by Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage and Wagon Works, Southern Railway, Perambur, Chennai-600023 and payable at Chennai.
