The Punjab
School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the Class 12 results (Senior
Secondary (10+2) Exam Provisional Result March 2017) on 14 may at 9 AM
ending the long wait of the students. The results are now available on
the official website of Punjab School Education Board i.e pseb.ac.in.
According to the PSEB, this year a total
number of 314815 students had appeared for the examination, out of
which 196321 students managed to pass the examination taking the pass
percentage to 62.36. Girls who appeared for the examination followed the
nationwide trend of outshining their male counterparts. This year also
girls raced ahead of boys with 72.59 pass percentage against 54.42 pass
percentage. Securing the top rank is Amisha Arora of RS Model senior
secondary school in Ludhiana. She has managed to score 98.44 per cent in
the PSEB SSE class 12 exams. Prabhjot Joshi has bagged the second rank
with a 98.22 per cent and Ria of Tagore school, Gurdaspur, is third in
the state with 98 per cent marks.
Last year the result was announced on
May 14 and continuing this trend the PSEB 12th Result has again been
declared on the same date. The pass percentage in Class 12 exam results
was 76.77%. In all 3,18,453 students appeared in the examination and
2,44,487 students had passed. The pass percentage of girls was 84.03%
while that of boys was 71.12%.
