Age limit: Candidate age limit should be between 18 to 39 years as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxations are applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation or equivalent qualification and National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade and must have done 2 years Apprenticeship in PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB and should have knowledge in Punjabi.
Selection Process: Selection will be made purely on merit basis.
Application Fee: Candidates need to pay Rs. 300/- for All categories except SC & Person with disability, Rs. 150/- for Person with disability category, Rs. 75/- for SC category with Rs. 50/- Bank charges for all categories in the form of Challan in any Branch of SBOP.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Logon to the web site: http://www.pspcl.in.
2. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID & kept active during the entire recruitment process.
3. Candidates should take care to furnish the correct details while filling the on-line application. Any mistake committed by the candidate shall be his/her sole responsibility. No subsequent corrections/modifications are allowed once the online application is registered.
4. Before starting to fill up the on-line application, make sure the following details/ documents like academic qualification as per eligibility criteria, Personal details, Reserve category- sub category (if any) are readily available with the candidate.
5. Under What’s New! tab click on CRA 281/13 Recruitment of Linemen
6. Then Click on the new registration fill the details correctly, upload your recent photo, signature in JPEG format maximum size 200KB
7. Note the Registration number for further correspondence, print the bank challan.

Guidelines for the Candidates for the Interview/test
1.                    Interested candidates are required to submit application in the prescribed format alongwith attested copies of the testimonials and registration fee of Rs 500/- (non-refundable) in cash or bank draft drawn in favour of “DIRECTOR NIELIT, CHANDIGARH” payable at Chandigarh only.
2.                    Applicants are required to submit attested copies of their testimonials/certificates with the application form which can be downloaded from the website of the Centre –www.nielitchd.in. They are also required to bring original testimonial/certificates for checking at the time of submitting the application form on 07/01/2014 (Tuesday).
3.                    Applicants are required to fill a separate application form for each post and also pay Rs 500/- (in cash or though bank draft) for each post separately.
4.                    Applicants remitting application fee through bank draft must mention their name in CAPITAL LETTERS and Phone Number on the backside of the Bank Draft.
5.                    No separate call letter will be sent for the test or interview.
6.                    No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appearing in the test or interview.
7.                    The posts are till 31/12/2015.
8.                    Selection/empanelment of the eligible candidates for the post of Manager (MIS), Project Coordinator and Accountant will be through walk-in-interview to be held at the Centre on 07/01/2014 from 11.45 a.m. onwards. Interested candidates are required to report at the Reception Counter at 11.00 a.m. Posts of Project Coordinators is district specific. Candidate will be from the same district. Post will be non-transferable. For Chandigarh, candidate may be from Chandigarh, Mohali or Fatehgarh Sahib.
9.                    Selection/empanelment of the eligible candidates for the post of Data Entry Operator will be through a typing test and interview to be held at the Centre on 07/01/2014 from 9.00 a.m. onwards. Incase the number of candidates is very large, the test and/or interview of the registered candidates may be conducted on the next 08/01/2014.
10.                 Interested candidates for all the posts can register at the Reception Counter of the Centre on 07/01/2014 from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
